I grew up going to the hospital with my father and listening to my grandfathers, uncles and cousins discuss medicine. It is hard to quantify how these generations of doctoring have shaped my practice but I feel it every day. I trained in Emergency Medicine and learned an immense amount about medicine and humanity in the ER over those 19 years. In 2019 I started Santa Fe Mobile MD as a way to find a more balanced and healing approach… to spend more time with patients listening, examining and thinking so I could not only deal with illness and also move in the direction of feeling grounded and well. I am also a partner with Insight Ketamine, a clinic dedicated to treating mental health concerns.

Since completing my residency training in Emergency Medicine in Boston in 2007, I have worked in Chiapas, the Navajo Reservation in Northwest New Mexico, Santa Fe and New Zealand. Practicing medicine in different cultures and countries has taught me a lot about listening, about being humble and seeing these experiences in the context of life. Being trusted with peoples’ stories, concerns, and hopes has been a great honor because it teaches me so much about the human experience.

Outside of medicine you’ll find me alongside my family biking, running, skiing or doing whatever we can to enjoy and be a part of the natural world.
