New Cryoprobe for treatment of precancerous lesions in the comfort of your home

A few weeks ago, one of our patients asked about treatment for her actinic keratosis (AK). Actinic keratosis is a common precancerous skin condition, often treated with freezing. Typically, this condition is treated in an office that has liquid nitrogen available. Thus, we were very excited to find a new device that is perfect for a mobile medical practice like Santa Fe Mobile MD. Now, with the Cryoprobe, we can offer the same convenience of treatment of benign skin conditions requiring treatment with cryotherapy.

The procedure itself is very easy. Once we identify a lesion that needs to be treated, all we have to do is freeze it for a few seconds and then let the body do the rest. It usually takes 2-3 weeks for the area to heal. The body has remarkable self-healing properties, so we simply help the body resolve unwanted skin lesions with this simple procedure.

In addition to freezing benign lesions, we offer shave biopsies for more concerning lesions, as well as biopsies to completely remove a lesion that look suspicious and cannot be frozen. In the last few months, we have treated patients with squamous cell carcinoma of the hand as well as basal cell carcinoma on the shoulder.

Our patients love that fact that they can be treated in the comfort of their own home. Cost of treatment is $45 per lesion. Now, for a limited time, we will treat 3 lesions for $100.
